Emma Burdett - Parent Governor Appointed 12/06/2024 (Term of Office 12/06/24 - 11/06/2028)

I have lived in Hose for most of my life before I moved to Long Clawson in 2011.

Myself and my husband Steve both attended Hose School before continuing our education at Belvoir High School and then King Edward VII Upper School in Melton.

Our daughter Jessica attends the school and is currently in Year 3 having started in reception.

I have been in Early Years Education all of my working life starting in Private Day Nurseries in Long Clawson and in Melton and the surrounding area. A year ago I was looking for a new challenge and the opportunity arose to become a 1-1 support for a little boy with Autism. Working in a Primary school has given me valuable skills that I hope I can bring to the role of Parent Governor.

Hose has always had a very special place in my heart and I believe that the knowledge and skills I have built up and gained over the years will help me and the other governors to support the wonderful team at Hose Primary School to help it get back to where it deserves to be.
